MJI WA HURUMA
SUPPORTING MJI WA HURUMA – NAIROBI’S ELDERLY CARE FACILITIES
Mji wa Huruma is one of Nairobi’s few elderly care homes, housing vulnerable senior citizens who have no family support. With limited resources, the facility struggles to provide adequate food, medical care, and dignified living conditions.
Tranquil’s Contribution:

FEEDING PROGRAM KIBAGARE
ST. MARTINS KIBAGARE SLUMS – FEEDING PROGRAM
The slum of Kibagare, Kenya, is located on the outskirts of Nairobi and home to 17,000 people without clean water or sanitation systems. The slum originated with former plantation workers who lost their livelihoods back in 1972 and has today grown to 17,000 people in a tiny strip of land hemmed in on all sides.
Many children in Kibagare slums face food insecurity, affecting their health and education. The feeding program at St. Martins provides daily meals to ensure that vulnerable children can focus on their studies and thrive.

Saint Martin’s School relies on charitable donations to fulfill its mission of educating as many children as possible. They provide a safe space for children to play, learn, and enjoy regular meals, giving them the foundation they need to thrive and succeed. Many children in Kibagare slums lack access to quality education due to financial constraints. St. Martin’s runs a bursary program to support underprivileged students.
